Interfacing DARS
and Other Software

General Interface Document
	Stand Alone All the DARS and student information needed to evaluate courses and produce audits are supported by data tables/files and Windows/screens right "out of the box." A client institution can immediately begin to develop and test encoding as soon as the software is installed. Optionally, student information can be "bridged" into/from home system, thus permitting continued operation in this mode.
	SCT Banner Student System Interfacing Banner look-alike Oracle Forms and supporting programs enable Banner clients to use DARwin DARS as if it were integrated into Banner - with no changes needed to either DARS or Banner

	Informs Student System Informs supports integration of DARS within their student system.
	PeopleSoft Student System Several DARS/PeopleSoft clients have developed interfacing programming which is available for sharing.

	Homegrown Student Systems Two standard API interface designs and samples are provided for client programming of real-time input and update of information from home student information system.
	Other Systems Since its initial "sharable" version, DARS has been structured to interface with any student system - whether home or vendor developed. We continue to grow new working relationships with other student software providers (including Oracle) and welcome new relationships.
